“The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.” This quote by Michael Althsuler says it all for me. We’re all in charge of our own destiny and when it comes to our finances, with the right kind of guidance, strategies and commitment, there’s no reason not to reach our destination.
I’ve spent the past 20 years partnering with clients to help them make informed and objective financial decisions. I work with them as the co-pilot on their journey, helping them create a personal flight plan that will see them navigate their way to financial freedom.
The ultimate goal is a soft landing at retirement but, of course, there is always the chance of turbulence along the way! The goal of the flight plan is to make the journey as comfortable as possible and to make sure you don’t veer off course, while being able to safely steer you through any unexpected eventuality.
I am supported by a capable and talented crew at Netto Invest as I provide independent, objective financial advice, and I take great pride in the development and ongoing growth of my team. I feel that we have a responsibility to uphold our exemplary reputation and to lead the way in an important industry.
Underpinned by my CA(SA) qualification and my CFP® certification, my years at the yoke have given me a depth of insight and knowledge that my clients have grown to depend on. I have presented at the Personal Finance Financial Planning Club and regularly share my expertise – appearing on CNBC Africa, ETV, 702 Talk Radio and contributing to the financial columns in the Personal Finance, Business Day and Finweek.
Following in the contrails of my business partner Debbie Netto-Jonker, I won the coveted Financial Planner of the Year Award in 2007. A proud moment in my career.
I’m an enthusiastic private pilot (as you may have been able to glean!) – taking off for the blue skies of the beautiful Cape at every opportunity. I’m married to Ali, and we have two children.
